More How To Contest winners
Dear Reader, Last fall we introduced a new feature called Conversations With Journalists. It invites teens to talk directly to New York Times journalists on some of the student-friendly topics they cover, like TikTok; driverless cars; specialty grocery stores; music playlists; Gen Z voting trends; social media; and how cellphones are spawning an "epidemic of vicious school brawls." Over 2,000 teenagers asked questions, posted comments and suggested ideas to the 11 reporters who participated. The reporters wrote back, explaining what inspired their work, sharing their writing and fact-checking processes, and posing their own questions to the students. Did you or your students participate? If so, what worked? What didn't? What could we do to make this feature stronger next year? We hope both you and your students will take our short survey, or write to us at LNFeedback@nytimes.com. Sincerely, The Learning Network | RESOURCES FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS | | | | | | | | | |
